1. Are hip, elbows, eyes, and heart certifications for both sire and dam verifiable at www.ofa.org?
Yes. All of my dogs are health tested through OFA, and I follow the Golden Retriever Club of America Code of Ethics.

2. How can I verify the health certifications?
You can verify the sire and dam's information by using their registration numbers on OFA.org and K9data.com. All health details are also included in the sales contract.

3. Do you provide a written contract for the sale of your puppies? Can I review it in advance?
Yes. Every puppy is sold with a written sales contract that includes a two-year health guarantee. I am happy to provide a copy for review ahead of time.

4. Are you a member of any Golden Retriever or local dog clubs?
Yes. I am a member of the Golden Retriever Club of America and a board member of the Everglades Golden Retriever Club.
I also serve as Vice President of the Greater Miami Dog Club and as a board member of the Fort Lauderdale Dog Club.

5. Can you provide references from members of local clubs?

6. Are your puppies examined by a veterinarian before going to their new homes?
Absolutely. All puppies receive a Florida Health Certificate from a licensed veterinarian. I also offer a 7-day complimentary veterinary visit with the same clinic in case of any concerns.

7. How do you socialize your puppies?
I follow a structured socialization plan by age:

  • 4–5 weeks: Gentle human interaction, exposure to mild sounds, different surfaces, and brief separations from the mother.

  • 5–6 weeks: Short human play sessions, exposure to varied toys and outdoor stimuli.

  • 6–8 weeks: Increased exposure to people, early grooming and baths, household noise desensitization, and full separation from the mother.

8. How long have you been breeding, and how many litters have you had?
I’ve been breeding Golden Retrievers since 2003 and have produced more than 40 litters.

9. How many litters do you typically have per year?
It varies, but on average, I produce 2 to 3 litters per year.

​

10. Can I visit your facility and meet the dogs?
Yes, visits are welcome by appointment. I encourage you to meet the parents and see the environment where the puppies are raised.

11. What is the general health and temperament of the sire, dam, and their close relatives?
The sire and dam are in excellent health with sound temperaments. There is no history of the following concerns in either parent:

  • Fearfulness, aggression, storm phobia, or hyperactivity

  • Skin problems, allergies, or chronic ear infections

  • Food sensitivities or gastrointestinal issues

  • Epilepsy or seizures

  • Joint issues such as stiffness or lameness

  • Pigmentary uveitis

  • Ichthyosis or Ichthyosis2

  • Progressive retinal atrophy (Prcd-PRA, PRA1, PRA2)

  • Neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis (NCL)

All genetic diseases listed above are tested for via DNA, and the parents are clear.
